The launch of GHOST’s new fragrance Moonlight
Held very fittingly on the eve of a full moon, UK fragrance brand GHOST launched their new scent Moonlight at London’s 24 Club yesterday.
Hosted by Designer Parfums, we were treated to raspberry bellinis and goat’s cheese on ginger bread as the new GHOST advertisement was played on several screens.
Having launched in 2000, GHOST were taken under Designer Parfums’ wing in February of this year, and their Moonlight launch seemed another success for their ever growing popular brand in the beauty market.
Around the room were large spherical lights representing the moon, while lilac and white flowers placed in petits vases were also on display. Predominantly dotted around were bottles of the new fragrance, where guests could freely spray samples and enjoy the already aromatic space.
Two beautiful models, wearing floor length gowns with very dark smoky eye make-up, also offered up samples of the scent. They represented the brand as confident and elegant women with a hint of mystery, as was discussed in the Designer Parfums evening presentation.
The fragrance is described as ethereal, mysterious and enchanting. With a mix of flowers, stemmed ginger and underlying white chocolate fragrance, Moonlight is both subtle, yet makes a statement. Small dishes with samples of the ingredients used were placed next to the fragrance, so it was easy for us to decipher the tones and made it feel more personal.
The perfume bottle itself is very feminine, in a thin hourglass silhouette; the base is a deep purple colour, which slowly fades up into lilac and lavender shades. These layers of colour are reminiscent of the consumer and add elements of seduction and delicacy to the product.
Each guest was given a goody bag, which included a complimentary bottle of Moonlight, which we were thrilled with!
The variety of what GHOST offers is perhaps why it appeals to such a wide audience. The brand is non-threatening and targets women who are happy to buy into a product that makes them feel good about themselves, especially when it smells this divine.

Moonlight will be available from February, in perfect time for Valentine’s Day. You can still shop for GHOST’s other products here; after all, Christmas is just around the corner…
