The Gossard Girls glam SS12 range
They say it’s what’s on the inside that counts and at the press launch for the Gossard lingerie SS12 collection – it couldn’t be anymore true.
Set against an industrialised brick wall, the composition of beautiful feminine lingerie made me want to whip my Primark specials off and indulge in the special silk numbers with pretty lace and ladylike palettes of champagne, teal, pink and purple.
Gossard pride themselves on their lingerie expertise and this season’s upcoming collection does not cease to disappoint. Prepare for lift off with the Super Ego Boost; an exciting development for a cleavage-enhancing bra that gives you the chance to max out your assets with an ultra-sexy and glamorous attitude. Removable pads make for a stunningly curved shape displaying some serious cleavage that is sure to cause a stir!
After 112 years in the business of creating beautiful cups, Gossard decided to reinvent their iconic corselet trimmed with delicate lace and stunning curve enhancing fit. When the brand first launched in 1901, the founder Henry Williamson was inspired by the actress Sarah Bernhardt and created a specialist corset design that saw her figure transform on stage. Fast forward to the present day and taking influence from the Bernhardt corset, the contemporary classic has been reworked for the modern Gossard girl, reinventing the retro fashion that is so on trend this season and creating killer seductive curves.
Keeping the vintage essence alive, the SS12 collection contains a set in a luxuriously soft woven satin in catwalk inspired tones of hot berry and tantalising teal. Delicately detailed with cute bows and lace undertones, the Vintage Rose is a chic and sophisticated addition to your lingerie collection.
Gossard is renowned for the classic and bestselling Glossies. Uniquely sheer with a ‘barely there’ wearability, the new season collection sees it launch in raspberry and white in an even softer fabric with an improved fit for ladies everywhere to enjoy. The famous under garment uses the latest technology in shape defining under garments, consistently maintaining the need for comfort, fit and minimalism.
After being introduced to the new collection, I was encouraged by the lovely ladies representing Glossard to try the garments on and see how fabulous it is for myself. So gingerly removing my budget bra (oh the shame of wearing Primark to a lingerie event!) my first port of call was the stunning Vintage Rose piece. Soft to the touch and providing an amazing cleavage boost, the undergarment was comfortable and supportive. As well as looking stunning, the piece was sexy yet sophisticated too. I placed my order for this item immediately as I’ve never felt as comfortable in a bra as I was in the Gossard piece.
As I left the Gossard event, I got thinking how little I consider my undergarments and the fact that I don’t invest in high quality and flattering items that boost my assets. I wonder how many other women are exactly the same. So next time you’re shopping for a new bra to go underneath your brand new dress ready for a night out, don’t opt for cheap over chic. Instead, invest some time in viewing the stunning SS12 collection from Gossard – I promise you won’t be disappointed.
