Celebrities love Pixie Knitwear
Pixie Knitwear is an independent British brand that was established in 2008, born with the intention of conquering frosty, grey winters and the boring, frumpy jumpers that are so synonymous with them.
Back in Pixie’s infancy – in its very first season in fact – the collection was snapped up by the eagle-eyed fashion scouts at Topshop, who decided to stock the lovely knitwear in their flagship Oxford Street store. Now, Pixie Knitwear is available worldwide and can be found in retailers in Japan, the US, Canada, across Europe and of course various boutiques right here in the UK.
It’s the little touches and attention to detail that sets Pixie apart from other brands. Feminine tailoring, cute little bows and the incorporation of current trends mean that Topshop is not the only high-profile admirer – Pixie Knitwear has built up quite a large celebrity following, with Mischa Barton, Fearne Cotton, Nicola Roberts and even the infamous Katie Price having been spotted sporting garments from the collection.
Here is a sneak peek at the best of Pixie Knitwear’s lookbook.
This loose knit, cream, woollen jumper proves that knitwear can be sexy as well as practical.
This grey geometric print woollen dress is gorgeous too. It’s shown here from the Pixie look book with silver skyscraper heels and cute socks, but I’m positive it would just as amazing dressed-down with some tights and leather boots.
This rich, purple, chunky knit is my personal favourite. In the look book it emulates the sophisticated but grunge-chic style of Mary-Kate Olsen perfectly – minus the shades of course! Here it is worn oversized, teamed with denim cut-offs and a 1970s style wide brimmed floppy hat, and just by looking you can tell it would be comfy enough to throw on over your pyjamas and curl up on the sofa in.
