LFW – Krystof Strozyna AW 2012 collection
Set in the wonderful Freemasons Hall for the Vauxhall Fashion Scout, Krystof Strozyna illustrated his 11th show for London Fashion Week and really showed off his talents in fashion design. The Autumn/Winter 2012 collection showcased a range of structured designs that added or deducted material on some part of each piece. There was a significant identify of classic more traditional design with a modern day twist.
Breaking away from his traditional use of soft shapes Krystof used harder shapes and lines to display his black and white, slightly monochrome approach to next season. Dresses with zigzag cut outs, capes and square necked dresses all were on the runway for this quirky and exciting collection. A somewhat ‘space age’ theme was felt through each of the designs but this was brought back to reality with splashes of cobalt, orange and pink. The use of materials ranged from leather and chiffon to create this soft yet futurist collection.
