LFW – House of Evolution AW 2012 collection
A few celebrity faces including Michelle Collins (aka Stella Price from Coronation Street) made their way to the House of Evolution showcase for Autumn/Winter 2012-13 at Vauxhall Fashion Scout. Beginning their show with a video presentation, the audience were displayed a naked woman in what seemed like a barbed wire cage.
This became the entrance for Delada to work their magic. Shift shirts with silk arms and leather panels prevailed, with a confident array of models walking individual or in a duo set. White shirts with black neck ties and pleated skirts, as well as leather detailing on various panels of pieces were stunning. It was such material which seemed to succeed throughout the collection, with beige dresses and a trench coat being shown on the catwalk. Elegant eveningwear reigned next, with a gorgeous black v-necked silk maxi with additional chain strap detailing setting the standards high. Similar designs followed with open necks featuring on the dresses, but still allowing them to be beautiful.
Zeyned Tosun had her crowd mesmerised with the entrance of her first piece. Instantly noticeable was the styling of hair featuring slick tied up hair with completely visible clip-in blonde hair extensions on show below. This was even worked if models had natural brown hair for even more of a stand out look. The crowd were wowed by gigantic metallic back pack on the first model and from there on the collection was unbelievable. A space age and futurist feel could be felt through the use of metallics, plastics and leathers in bright and bold colours. Silk skirts, shift shirts and studded neck pieces all added to the look as well as jumper style capes and cut out overlays. Key pieces featured an oversized black Mongolian fur coat and a huge silver backpack, which I couldn’t help but adore.
Nadine Merabi was the third to showpiece her ideas for the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. The audience cheered at the appearance of her name and the show began as a complete contrast to the previous designer approaches. Gentle string music introduced a white blazer with a dress featuring pastel purple shades. Halter neck dresses featured circle bar necks with diamante detailing complimented by silks, ruche and open backs. Maxi dresses featured blue and brown as well as silver print, and a large feather and diamante breast piece stunned onlookers on a corset style design. A phenomenal Audrey Hepburn style corset left the audience with goose bumps, with beautiful and signature cream beading falling down from the seams. Oversized trousers and lace detailing on shiffon added to the sheer sensation factor of the collection.
