Spring feet! What to wear on a day like today
It is time to prise off your winter shoes (keep them near though, you never know when you may need them) and to let your feet get some air. Yes that’s right, summer time is here! The sun is in the sky and everybody is outside loving it, although we must remember it is only Spring and temperatures can still get a bit nippy. It can be tricky to know how to dress in weather such as this: do you go all out in flimsy summer clothes – there are topless men on the high street as I type this – or do you stay safe, but boiling, in your winter coat?
What do you wear on your feet at this time of year? Sandals? Pumps? Trainers? Or stay strapped into your winter boots until there is some proper heat? It can be confusing, so here are a few on-trend shoes that are perfect for the lovely warmth that spring brings, without looking like you are prematurely ushering in the balmy days of August.
These neon pumps are perfect for spring. Wear them with a sweet dress or a pair of jeans to add a punch of colour to any outfit, although these pumps are also available in ten other colours so you can choose the right ones to suit you.
£55, Office’s ‘Les Ballet’ neon pumps.
High-tops are pretty cool at the moment, and these pastel green Nike Blaze mid-tops are spot-on-trend. Mixing both high-tops and pastel colours, these trainers would look good on any day, but even better in the sunshine. Sporty is cool, but when it’s sporty and cute – all the better.
The studded slipper has been around for a while now, but they are perfect to add an edge to a light spring outfit.
To add a bit of height and colour into your spring look, these suede wedges are perfect. Part-flatform, part-wedge, this shoe is the ideal way to try out the flatform trend without feeling too crazy and the pink colour is so luxurious too.
Incorporating a few trends (nude, vintage) these wedge pumps add a kick of subtle style into a spring outfit, worn with rolled-up tailored trousers or a pair of shorts – the sweet pink colour, their shape and texture will really make an outfit into a stylish one. Our favourites!
