Jean Paul Gaultier teams up with Diet Coke
Haute couture designer Jean Paul Gaultier has teamed up with Diet Coke to produce a range of limited edition bottles of the beverage. The two designs named Day and Night are reminiscent of the design of Gaultier’s classic fragrance bottles Classique and the masculine version Le Male, using the signature corset for the female version and the naval stripes strongly associated with his brand’s image. Curvaceous British actress Gemma Arterton helped Gaultier unveil the new styles at an event in London last night.
Fashion fans will be able to snap up the stylish limited edition beverages from Harvey Nichols stores nationally from 16th April. The limited edition collectors’ boxes contain both bottles as well as a chic glass designed by Jean Paul Gaultier. A third bottle, entitled Tattoo, inspired by Gaultier’s love of body art, will be released later in the year to complete the collection. Gaultier follows in the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld, who was Diet Coke’s designer-in-residence last year, as well as designers Matthew Williamson, Gianfranco Ferrè, Marni, and Roberto Cavalli in previous years.
Individual bottles can be purchased at Harvey Nichols at £1.95 per bottle and the entire collectors boxes are priced at £19.95; there is already a waiting list in place. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
