Angelina Jolie shines as jewellery designer

She was once known for wearing vials of her husband’s blood around her neck and is now known as doting mother of six, wife-to-be of Brad Pitt, actress and now director, but it may come as a surprise to some that Angelina Jolie is adding another string to her bow in the form of jewellery designer. 

To create her designs, Ms Jolie has teamed up with jeweller Robert Procop, who was also behind the making of the ring for her recent engagement to Brad. The famously charitable Hollywood beauty’s proceeds from the line will go to her charity ‘The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict’.

According to Procop, the collection named Style of Jolie reflects Angelina’s signature style. “She is very classically chic,” he gushed. “We cultivated this style, which echoes a woman’s timeless allure. When you see the collection, it has a distinction. When you look at it, you recognise that it’s the Style of Jolie.”

Robert has previously revealed that Angelina is very hands-on with the project. He explained that the actress was involved “every step of the way”.

“[The collection] is what she enjoys wearing on the red carpet, but also what she enjoys when she’s at home”. 

The current collection features a stunning emerald necklace, which boasts 103 carats – the highest-quality classification – of vivid green stones set in yellow gold with a matching bracelet, a rectangular ring, and unique quartz earrings. 

It is not the first time that Angelina has put her name to jewels to raise money for the cause that she holds so dear to her heart. Last year, she and partner Brad Pitt designed a capsule collection for British jeweller Asprey, also in the name of her charity.
