Gift a Zoe Jones original
Jewellery is considered an intimate gift, something that is usually given on a special occasion and valued as a precious memento.
We could not help but be touched by Zoe Jones’ story when it came to her collection entitled Lynda Louise Etched Silver Range. Zoe explains the meaning: “My beloved mum, Lynda Louise, drew these little pictures over many years almost as a signature. After her death in 2006, I started to etch them into silver to make a wearable reminder of her for myself and for family and friends. I am still making them. She always said we should work together, and with her drawings on my jewellery, I feel we have.” This story really touched us here at The Upcoming, we’re sure it moved you too.
The best way to describe Zoe’s work is unpretentious. No bling bling about it, just simple creations that come straight from the heart.
This one-of-a-kind silver hand-etched called “Morgan Aero Stick Pin” is ideal for someone who appreciates vintage cars. “I enjoy creating personalised jewellery, often using etching to transfer a treasured image onto silver or copper.” We can imagine any collector being thrilled with a gift such as this.
For something perhaps a little sober try this “Lynda Louise two Birds Hand-Etched Pendants” costing £30. This is a brilliant present for young lovebirds.
In case you did not notice on her website, she loves making chains, whether they are round, oval, thick, thin, twisted or hammered; such as this “Alternating Plain and Twist Link Chain.” This creation shows variety and spice.
In her own words, Zoe describes her creations as “both traditional and contemporary influences in my work that ranges from almost classical, traditionally made silver chains to leather jewellery with a touch of rock & roll.” Well this “Leather and Silver Chain” is certainly rockin’!
To view her jewellery, visit her shop window online here. Unlike the rest of her website, what is in this shop window is available to buy today, but may not be tomorrow! So hurry up before the creation runs out.
