Agyness Deyn for Dr. Martens collection launched
Having been the face of the brand for the past two years, Agyness Deyn has launched her own collection within the label; consisting of footwear, floral, checked and lace, this collection is versatile and flawless.
Deyn bought her first pair of Dr. Martens when she was just 13. The British model has had a close relationship with the brand, so was delighted to be able to design for them. The collection derives a lot from Deyn’s own style, with an overall grunge aesthetic, but is trended with modern fashion and that Dr. Marten’s signature look. Deyn stated that she was inspired a lot by the 90s and the freshness and vintage vibe that is associated with the era. Also, popular people from the 90s like Winona Ryder and Kurt Cobain helped to influence her designs. There is also a clear connection to popular references of music, fashion combined with colour and texture throughout the collection.
The footwear designs range from extra shiny lace up boots to velvet creepers in cherry red and jet black. As for the clothing, there is an array of cool and contemporary designs, to be dressed either up or down and for the customer to show their individual style. Daisy prints are frequently used on the maxi floral dresses and t-shirts, as are checked patterns for both skirts and jumpsuits. Heart-shaped satchels are available in four colours, including lilac and lime green – one of our favourites from the collection!
“I wanted the collection to look like someone had gone into a charity shop, like I did when I was a teenager, and come out dressed head-to-toe in what they’d bought. It’s a wear-it-all-together collection,” stated Agyness. It looks like the collection will do just that, as there seems to be something to suit every individual.
We can’t wait to get our tomboy on and grab a piece of this ultimately stylish and original collection. We don’t think anyone else could have been more perfect for the bill. Shop the collection here.
