The psychedelic sixties came to life at Freemasons’ Hall for Ekaterina Kukhareva’s Spring/Summer 2013 salon show. Taking a step back in time became a new fashion statement by Ekaterina, whose collection featured geometric prints as well as bold lashings of pastel colours and sexy headpieces for the ultimate 60s look.
Tank tops, floaty peplums and pleated boob tube dresses all made an appearance on the catwalk, teamed perfectly with gold-rimmed sunglasses that each featured their own extra retro detailing. Staying true to her name, Ekaterina ensured knitwear was key in her collection, making her pieces light and suitable for the season. Fringed clutch bags and brightly coloured wedges completed all outfits perfectly with lilacs, magentas and greens all adding to the sheer fun of her designs.
Creating the ultimate summer look, Ekaterina continued her quest for fashions past to be brought back to life by showcasing a series of body pieces, ideal for a summer beach holiday. Bold gold necklaces and earrings worked in sync with strips and triangles of colour in maxi dresses and pleated skirts.
Ekaterina’s collection is the definition of a vintage summer, making the swinging sixties sexy all over again.
