LFW – Pringle of Scotland S/S 2013 collection
An invite-only event saw the new Pringle of Scotland Spring/Summer 2013 collection come to light in Mayfair on a sunny Monday afternoon. The presentation of a smart take on summer garments was truly reflective of the Pringle label. Focusing on Scotland’s rich heritage, gentle pastels were teamed with luxurious spring knitwear for a 1950s look.
Colour was key throughout the collection and made significant progressions through the garments. Pinks, yellows and green shades moved into metallics that reinforced Pringle’s more modern side. Pieces that were more suitable for a stylish night-time look brought out bolder shades like magenta and were put with neutrals for the sophisticated woman. Embellishment made knitwear chic and a delight to the eye, with geometric patterns being created on beautifully picked materials. Cotton and cashmere made the knitwear perfect for warmer weather and featured a whole host of different jumpers that made beautiful silhouettes on the models.
Despite seeming somewhat simple, the Pringle collection had clear thought to it and made a minimalistic, contemporary look for the new season.
