PFW – Drome S/S 2013 collection
If you think Paris Fashion Week is just about the official schedule, then you are wrong. Yesterday, Italian brand Drome’s presentation took us to an all-white timeless playground where models were swinging. Mariano Rosalti, designer of the brand, highlights the elegance of 50s American women. Instead of an old style, we recognise a new aspect. She is inspired by the female characters of Alfred Hitchcock’s movies.
The all-leather collection has passed through a special processing to make the leathers as soft as possible. There were real snake leather jackets with motorcyclist details made feminine. Different types of cutting techniques were used : flower motif cuts on skirts, geometric and laser cuts on jackets and stretch dresses. One could really adore the icy blue pieces of the garments.
