PFW – Valentin Yudashkin S/S 2013 collection
When we saw the Vogue Paris team sitting across from us, we realised that it was going to be a huge show. The Imperial Salon of Westin welcomed everyone. We didn’t know much about Valentin Yudashkin, except that he had clients from high society.
The show started with masculine looks. The strictly tailored coats and jackets were paired with feminine blouses and top hats. The look of this collection generally combined womenswear with classic menswear. The designs were bright in colour with others in white and black/dark blue.
The collection continued with graphically, geometrically formed dresses. He was inspired by the cutting-edge art of the 90s. He also created the dress prints with inspiration from the Polish artist Piotr Uklanski.
The masterpieces were left to the final looks, where we saw stunning wearable jewellery adorned with pearls, rubies, crystals and pale gold shades.
