PFW – Hexa by Kuho S/S 2013 collection
The other inspirational source for fashion is literature. A new name to Paris Fashion Week, designer Jung Kuho from Seoul based his show in a high school library, on one of Charlotte Bronte’s novels, Jane Eyre. And he is redefining the 19th century’s British women’s clothing.
So many ideas have been taken from Victorian style, like semi couture and the volumes used in different places on the clothes. With added pieces, this gives the clothes a wavy look. Some of the jackets had a cut-on shoulder with wide-volume sleeves and most of the dresses were open shoulder. I like the high-waist pants in different colours. In the last looks, ripped, layered laser-cut was impressive and this time Jung Kuho did not surprise us with his shoes.
