An interview with Lisa: the woman behind The Button & Bow Factory
A few weeks ago, The Upcoming came across The Button & Bow Factory’s jewellery and couldn’t wait to find out more about them. The Button & Bow Factory is based in Ireland, and after finishing her masters at Edinburgh during the recession, Lisa decided to start her own business using the skills she learnt during her studies. The jewellery is aimed at girls aged 16-35 who “love pretty jewels” and also Pixie Lott!
We got in touch with Lisa at the factory for some more information about the jewellery and how it all began.
There are some great pieces on the website, but which is your favourite?
Lisa: My favourite piece is our gold spike necklace. I feel it can add a little rock chick feel to a pretty outfit.
Which celebrity would you love to see wearing your jewellery?
We would love to see our pieces worn by Pixie Lott. She is our style icon here at The Button and Bow HQ.
How is all the jewellery made?
The jewellery in the Button and Bow collection is all handmade. The rest of the jewellery and accessories have been hand-selected from around the globe, with our gorgeous customers in mind, to add variety to the site.
What’s next for the brand?
We are hoping to bring our brand international. We have some customers from the UK, Europe and the US already, and we are really hoping to build on this. We’re also hoping to launch a clothing line in 2013. Watch this space…
What is a typical day like in the Button and Bow Factory head office?
At the moment, there are just two of us working for the brand. We are hoping to double this early next year. The office is lots of fun. It’s a very girly environment. We love interacting with our customers through Twitter and Facebook and finding out what they love about our brand.
We’ve added the Amelia Gold Collar Tips and the Cross, Heart and Star rings to our wish list!
Visit The Button and Bow Factory to buy something pretty, or find the girls on Twitter and tell them what you love!
