Sarah Forsyth S/S 2013 collection and boutique launch
A sense of handbag heaven filled King’s Road in Chelsea on Wednesday evening as guests were invited to preview Sarah Forsyth’s SS13 collection in her recently opened store. The label that was previously known as Safor, launched in London in September 2012 and the delightful little South West-based boutique was the perfect location for the chic, summer showcase.
Sarah, who is renowned for her use of fine leathers and skins in her bags, didn’t fail to impress. A whole array of clutch bags and large, practical day handbags prevailed the collection, made from materials such as camel suede and python skin for a completely distinctive yet tasteful look. Brightly coloured skins were eye-catching and intriguing and we particularly loved the multi coloured Alice python clutch priced at £199.00. All of the bags were printed with Sarah’s signature logo that added a somewhat realistic touch to the designs.
Vintage style furniture displayed Sarah’s work elegantly, surrounded by copies of Vogue and candles for the ultimate “boutique” feel. iPad sleeves and belts were perfectly placed around the room to give finishing touches to a truly wonderful collection.
Another of our favourites for spring/summer 2013 had to be the Tilly Black Python Oversized bag, priced at £499.00. Some bags also featured fringing and studding, which made us equally excited for the new season to come.
What is reassuring about Sarah’s work is the process in which the bags are created. The skins that are used for her work are sustainably farmed and ethically sourced, ensuring that her fashionable creations are made from the correct resources.
Sarah’s bag collection creates the ultimate statement with any outfit, no matter what the occasion. Find your bag fix here.
