O.P.I Nails’ S/S 2013 collection is to die for!

The Upcoming was invited to have a sneak peek at the new O.P.I Spring/Summer 2013 collection today, and boy, is everyone in for a treat! With two absolutely breathtaking ranges set to be released next year, you will be spoilt for choice!

We attended the launch by O.P.I Nails, one of the leading nail care companies, who has led nail art through the 80s onwards by,“giving women an easy way to look and feel fashionable, confident and individual”. It was a beautiful morning show, with a stunning presentation projected across the wall of the Sketch Bar in Mayfair, while the music of C2C’s Down the Road EP beautifully coupled with the sophisticated film. A small speech was made by Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, the executive vice president and artistic director of O.P.I, who explained how happy the company was releasing these dazzling Nail Lacquers.

There were pots of nail varnish from their Halloween collection and new collections that are equally incredible. We were lucky enough to receive manicures with the Spring/Summer colours by the lovely O.P.I team.

The first range they are releasing is their Euro Centrale collection, an array of twelve beautiful colours clearly inspired by the catwalk, from a creamy pale to a deep midnight blue, there is something for everyone here. There is also great shimmery effects in copper and gold, and an incredible glitter combo of blue and violet which would sparkle with any outfit.

Their second range is in collaboration with the one and only diva Mariah Carey! Everyone knows how girlie, glittery and inspiring Mariah is, and the limited edition of this eight-shade masterpiece clearly proves it.

Not only is the collection beautiful in colour, but it also premiers the new never-before-seen formula that textures the nail with fine glitter particles, shimmers and gives a pebbled finished – without a top coat. A new innovation is called Liquid Sand Lacquers, and is truly glorious. It comes in peach pink; light purple; aqua blue; clear, with light pink glitter; and dark charcoal, with a shimmer of red. Also included in Mariah’s selection is a gorgeous plum/purple varnish, a shimmery copper and a magnificent nude pink with a barley-there touch of gold. Any lady would feel like a superstar with these exquisite sparkles on their nails, and that is why we love them so much.

Let’s not forget some of O.P.I’s Heroes products that keeps your nails not only looking sublime, but also taken care of. Some of their best treatments include the Avoplex Cuticle Oil to Go, which contains avocado oil and improves your cuticles while on the go! It comes in a handy little package with a soft brush and takes seconds to apply, perfect for when you’re on the train, bus or anywhere on the go!

Another is the Original Nail Envy, which toughens up those brittle nails and stops them splitting, cracking and peeling.

Last, but by no means least, is the Drip Dry: does exactly what it says on the tin and dries lacquer nail polish in sixty seconds to the touch, and completely in five minutes.

So while you’re grabbing the gorgeous colours in the spring, make sure you grab some protections too for gorgeous summer nails and you can feel like a diva!
