Inspired by the natural habitat: NKOYO winter scarves

Winter is undeniably here. Bitter winds and dark mornings mean that we can no longer leave the house without our big warm coats. And thanks to NKOYO, we can add a gorgeous new scarf to our list of winter morning must-haves.

NKOYO’s latest winter scarves are inspired by the snow leopard and the snowy owl: creatures accustomed to dwelling in much colder climates. The scarves are handmade and digitally printed in the UK, using high quality wool lawn, a silk mix, and intricate hand-drawn and hand-painted images.

The alpine habitat of the snow leopard is portrayed through olive greens and dark browns, which contrast with the animal’s pale coloured fur.

The snowy owl, on the other hand, is indigenous to northern regions of Europe, Asia, Canada and Alaska; and represents dusk. This is conveyed through orange and pink hues, which also match the bird’s eyes.

These arty pieces are the perfect practical pick-me-up for cold winter days, keeping you warm whilst keeping style at the forefront.
