Elvira Vintage pop-up launch party
Guests got a much-needed warm welcome on Thursday night to the Elvira Vintage pop-up launch party. A chilly Marble Arch came alive with sheer vintage class as Tori Steinberg and Sophie Scrimgeour opened their doors for an exclusive preview of their new boutique.
The duo, who studied at Central Saint Martins and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, both have a background in fashion. Creating Elvira has allowed the girls to have an expressive platform for something they both have a passion for. The pop-up is the girls’ way of bringing a new approach to vintage shopping in London.
With two luxurious floors to choose from, the shop is the ultimate vintage hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street and Bond Street. Displaying a carefully picked selection of vintage clothing from hanging fixtures, the shop is the definition of chic. Accessories were draped over vintage furnishings and given a finishing touch through the use of perfectly placed lighting. Chanel handbags in spotlight boxes and belts hanging from coat racks contributed to a flawless, classic feel.
The night was topped off by a quaint bar serving Snow Queen Vodka cocktails and a faultless DJ set from Bassam Ibellini. Steinberg and Scrimgeour have managed to create a unique one-off shopping experience – something we have all been searching for.
The pop-up isn’t around for long, so make sure you visit Elvira Vintage before it’s too late.
