Pfeffer PR Press Day highlights: Thu Thu and Barbara Boner
Hidden away in east London is the boutique-style PR company that is quirky and friendly. As you enter, fake grass squirrels line the windows and hanging antique birdcages house accessories and jewellery. This reflects Pfeffer’s eclectic and unique style of representing some of the most exciting designers and brands around.
First to greet you is Barbara Boner with her Free-Dome SS13 collection: soft leather and reptile skin adorn bags with creations inspired from the Venetian masked ball looking on. Goldie London uses sorbet shades and 90s-inspired shapes for a floaty and sexy style, available on the high street via Topshop.
A wonderful clash of cultures with fabrics taken from Sapa in north Vietnam crafted into modern and stylish shapes were found on the Thu Thu rail. The unmistakable We Are Handsome strike you with their fun, nature-inspired collection, The Crossing. Bold panda and wild cat prints available in swimwear, sleeveless dresses and leggings add a focal point for those who want to release their inner animal.
Noted stylist Raquel Franco has taken her years of experience to create Body Editions. Figure-hugging bodysuits cut to flattering shapes with a nod to the 50s have a universal appeal. Tropicalismo by Lucy Folk brings the love of South America and food to jewellery: citrus slices for earrings sit next to cute watermelon seed rings in sterling silver and plated rose gold.
