Bag yourself something special at JumpFromPaper

JumpFromPaper are a creative and innovative handbag company, whose primary focus is on fun. The site, set up by Taiwanese Rika and Chay, is a one-off in terms of marketing their product. No images of the bags are available online; instead, models pose with cartoon images of each design.

The bags are divided into three categories: the Charmer collection represents romantic expressions, from first dates to afternoon tea; the Explorer range features bigger weekend bags, and the Roamer section features mostly suitcases and satchels for travelling types.

The brand adds quirkiness to the conventional notions of bag design, and it doesn’t stop there. Each bag is accompanied by a twee description, such as “Those days we fought for her heart,” and “Gossiping with girlfriends is more fun than dating wrong guys.”

JumpFromPaper say that their philosophy is “Born to enjoy life”, a concept which is certainly incorporated into all aspects of their brand. They aim to both please and confuse people with their abstract website, subverting the ideas of traditional thinking.

We love the idea of a bag for every occasion, from a day in Paris to playing hooky, and the surprise of unwrapping a bag only seen in illustrations must feel like Christmas!
