The Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club: The Field Fashion Showcase
The Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club (S&CBC) is a girl’s only introduction to clay shooting with an afternoon tea club, which is both fun and fabulous!
The objective of the S&CBC is to encourage more women into shooting, which is traditionally a male-dominated sport. They take away all the pressures and just make it about having a good day out! The club caters for everyone from people that have never lifted a gun to experienced shooters, so everyone really is welcome. Girls are matched with other girls of similar ability and given an instructor to shoot with. “We shoot, then we reconvene as a group and enjoy a variety of homemade cakes and tea served in vintage china – all very British!”
The S&CBC was founded in September 2011 and as of March next year they will have a club in every county in the UK.
This Saturday is the first big social event for the S&CBC: The Field Fashion Showcase hosted at the No 9 Adam Street Members’ club in Central London. A catwalk showcasing all the best of British field sports designers and outfitters will be showcasing their collections at the eagerly anticipated event.
The event will also involve a drinks reception and pop-up shops, kicking off at 1pm. The charity auction will follow, which features some exceptional pieces from companies such as Stratstone of Mayfair, Cool Hooves Polo, an undisclosed leading Highland Estate, Tommy Hilfiger and Little Luxuries.
