Daniel Blake and unique accessories label Massey VIP launch party

The launch party for the collaboration of womenswear designer Daniel Blake and unique accessories design label Massey took place in Putney, Southwest London last night. The exclusive showing of both collections took place in the beautiful home of Malory Fletcher (the creative head behind the Massey accessories), and host Malory was quick to make guests feel at home with white wine upon arrival.  

Adding a more unforgettable touch to selling his clothes, Daniel prefers to interact with his client on a more personal level rather than the wholesale route. Boasting high quality, timeless investment pieces, customers express how you can dress the clothes up or down to suit any cause.

Mixing up a variety of colour palettes, Daniel uses neutrals such as beige, ivory and grays to contrast with the more prominent hot pinks and berry purples he uses for some outstanding dresses, which shows just how versatile the autumn/winter collection is. The stand-out piece from the collection is, of course, the signature Daniel Blake tuxedo dress that comes in cream and purple. Incorporating a blazer-like torso into a floor length dress, the piece is the must-have item for all special occasions.  

This collaboration came about after Malory and Daniel became friends through business. Massey’s accessories collection is absolutely beautiful: sporting bags, wallets, phone cases and every girl’s much-desired clutch-bag. Like Daniel’s clothes, they are great investment pieces. Made from real snake and lizard skin, there are colours to cater for everybody’s preference. With some metallic golds and silvers and some more matte colours such as royal blue and ruby red, these accessories make the perfect must-have Christmas gift.
