Mark Wright launches his debut scents Mr Wright and Mrs Wright

Yesterday we had the pleasure of being invited to the official launch of Mark Wright’s first fragrance collection, aptly called Mr Wright and Mrs Wright. We caught up with the man himself at the Sanctum Hotel to discuss his latest venture, life after TOWIE and finding Mrs Wright.

Since Mark appeared on our screens in reality series TOWIE, he has attracted quite a following, particularly among the female population. It was no surprise that yesterday the venue was packed full of females, waiting to get a sniff of the man of the moment, Mr Wright.

Describing his debut scent, Mark told us: “It is smart, dapper, strong and mature. I love to wear suits and be sharp and classy so Mr Wright reflects this.”

Mrs Wright was developed to smell just how he’d like his Mrs Wright to smell: sweet, subtle and sexy. With top notes of lemon, peach, apple and grapefruit, middle notes of jasmine combined with base notes of dry wood, amber and musk, the result is a just as he describes. The fragrances launched officially online the previous day, and according to his camp, Mr Wright was developed using notes of bergamot, sandal wood, lavender geranium and amber and is already ahead of sales of  Mark’s hero David Beckham’s fragrance – something he was astounded by. We discussed how he feels about his success since his departure from TOWIE: “When I entered the industry I never thought I’d be standing here today launching my own fragrance, I’m still like is this really happening?”

“When I was in the jungle it was like this is the show I’ve watched for 11 years, dreamt of the set and all of a sudden I was in it. All the time, I’m now constantly pinching myself. I’m enjoying the ride, and hope it continues.”

With Mark being the face of Mr Wright, we couldn’t help but wonder if the renowned ladies man was ready to find his own Mrs Wright who, of course, he says needs to smell just as good as the fragrance.

Squashing any rumours that he may reunite with his on-off girlfriend Lauren Goodger, he said he was currently enjoying single life, but if he were to meet Mrs Wright right now then he would be ready to settle down, despite his busy career.

Setting his sights on Hollywood, he also described his dream role as James Bond, which we can just imagine with his smouldering good looks, sense of style, and taste in a tipple too as he chose Vodka Martinis to be served to guests on arrival. It seems this cheeky Essex lad really can do no wrong!
