Call It Spring UK flagship store launch party with Lucy Rose
Friday night became the host to all things lovely on Oxford Street as Call It Spring celebrated the opening of its very first flagship store in the UK. The brand that is home to the latest footwear and accessories was born as part of the infamous ALDO group. Founded in 1991, the store has grown into a well-known footwear haven, and is now able to grace Londoners with its delights.
Press and customers alike were invited into the store to discover what the brand is all about. With staff giving out popcorn and the opportunity to have your photograph taken with a mini Polaroid camera, people were lured in from the cold to find out what Call It Spring is all about.
The autumn/winter 2012 collection, titled Live For Rock, is exactly what you may think. Combining trends that feature western folk, playful glam and high performance – suedes, studs and stylish heels are all on the agenda for the season. Menswear has a beautiful autumnal colour palette and has a mix of military boots and brogues to match with wintery knitwear.
What is amazing about the store itself is the vast array of shoes that are available. From flats to boots, there is every kind of shoe for any occasion, ensuring that you will not leave empty handed. The price bracket is also very affordable with knee-high boots priced at around £50. You are guaranteed to bag yourself a bargain.
In celebration to the store opening, singer and songwriter Lucy Rose played a small set and graced the shop with her charm. Opening with First, Lucy’s more stripped back approach to her set made a change from her closing tour performance at the sold-out Electric Brixton on Thursday night. Shiver, Night Bus and Lines were all to follow as guests watched her in awe. Lucy chatted to fans throughout her performance and was impressed with how much the crowd already knew about her music. Closing with Middle of the Bed and Bikes, Lucy was nothing less than perfect.
Meeting guests after her show, Lucy signed autographs and had photographs taken with fans, bringing a wonderful close to the evening.
The future for Call It Spring will see 20 shop-in-shops appear in Debenhams, so be sure to check out one near you.
