Pretox with The Ballancer’s compression therapy

Discovered as the treatment of choice in Israel, The Ballancer has now reached UK shores to elevate a number of ailments with compression therapy. Climbing into specially made trousers that zip up to your diaphragm, you can choose the level of pressure as air enters each chamber within the trousers.

The sensation can be likened to getting your blood pressure measured at the doctors, except the compressions come at differing variants, that create a massaging effect. The body responds as blood flows up and lymphatic drainage is stimulated. The initial feeling of restriction can be unnerving, but soon the air pockets expand and contract to a wave-like sensation and, ultimately, deep relaxation.

The Ballancer can help those looking for treatments to decrease cellulite and water retention, as the immune system is aided by the removal of toxic build-up and oxygenation of the blood is encouraged. The system has also been shown to benefit those with repetitive strain ailments such as long-distance runners and athletes. Professional marathon runner Oliver Gibson said of the treatments: “Knowing a limited amount of how massage therapy works, it only makes sense that the peristaltic effect would assist in flushing out my muscles of remaining lactic acid and other toxins, allowing the income of fresh blood and nutrients. This would in turn allow for improved recovery.”

Boosted blood circulation can result in an improved skin tone, better digestion is encouraged as abdominal muscles are stimulated and the body feels revitalised yet relaxed after each session.
