The Wolf & Badger store located in the elegant streets of Mayfair drew press and guests to its prestigious location on Tuesday 4^th December, as Feather M presented the brand new SS13 collection. 

The London-based handbag brand that was founded by Leo Featherman earlier this year is a refreshing and interesting take on the ultimate fashion accessory. After studying at the London College of Fashion in 2006, Leo combined her array of experience in the fashion industry with her new knowledge to establish her own designs. The result is a brilliant display of unique bags suitable for every day of the week. Using diverse yet signature shapes to create bags of all sizes gives Feather M a distinctive edge and truly inimitable style. 

Using some of the finest British materials and being handcrafted in London is what gives Feather M an extra special touch. The SS13 collection is full of bold colours and luxurious textures such as scalloped leather and python skin. Beautiful shades of fuchsia and orange give the collection a summery vibe and the range of sizes make the bags adaptable to your everyday plans. We particularly loved the SS13 Monday Bag made from python, leather and suede but can’t forget to mention the Friday Clutch, complete with gold-plated detachable snake strap. 

After having the opportunity to meet Leo, we understand exactly why this brand is so brilliant. Down to earth and modest about how great her work really is, Leo told us about how excited she is already about AW13. After finding the ultimate “feathered material” to make her new designs from, she is hoping to bring together her signature style from her previous collection and SS13, and combine it with fabulous fabrics that are reflective of her brand name. It is safe to say we really cannot wait for 2013 in Feather M world.
