Drapers’ Power List awards party 2012
Drapers Magazine is one of the most influential magazines in the UK fashion business. After celebrating their 125th birthday earlier this year, they have gained a massive amount of faithful and prestigious clientele over time. Every week of the yearly calendar, Drapers conjure up the most relevant and up-to-date information in the business for everyone to read.
After a successful awards ceremony last month, what better excuse than for Drapers Magazine to throw a spectacular, fashion-fuelled party to celebrate? Last night, the five-star St Martins Lane Hotel was crowded with fashion elite and various press to celebrate the eagerly anticipated Drapers Power List 2012.
One of the hotel’s studios had been transformed with blue lighting, beautiful table settings and light, floaty white curtains to create an ambient setting amongst their guests. The room was filled with a relaxed and happy atmosphere as everyone tucked into canapés, Black Vanilla cupcakes and were served much champagne.
Guest were entertained with music from Nate James, manicures from Nail Rock and massages.
After a short time of mingling, photographers getting their best shots and guests receiving various treatments from the nail and massage bars, the Drapers editor, Caroline Nodder, took to the mic. Thanks were given to the many supporters, contributors and sponsors of the event.
Caroline Nodder commented that the Drapers Power List “takes over six hours to agree on the final 100 – agreeing on the finest business minds in the UK, even the world is one of the hardest decisions and everyone should be proud”.
As everyone eagerly awaited the announcements, the Drapers team were on hand with their power list magazine. Everyone in the room grabbed one and quickly flicked through to find out the winners, phones were pulled out and social network sites went crazy.
The party was yet another successful Drapers event. A special congratulations should go to the Power List 2012 top ten:
