Tom Ford store opening: Sloane Square new arrival in 2013
Tom Ford, the American fashion brand that was born in April 2005, is set to open his first London flagship store in fall 2013 after signing a ten-year lease.
The company which was set up seven years ago, along with the help of Domenico De Sole (former Gucci Group president) has become a huge success, especially his eyewear collection which is loved by many celebrities.
His first flagship store opened in April 2007 on New York’s Madison Avenue, coinciding with the debut of Tom Ford’s menswear and accessory collection.
Later in September 2010, the Ford name continued to grow as he debuted his much anticipated womenswear collection – a massive achievement for such a young business. Now seven years on, the store, which is set to be the first stand-alone Tom Ford shop in the UK, will be located on the luxuriously renowned Sloane Street, home to the likes of Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Harvey Nichols.
The 8,000 square foot store will be dedicated to complete womenswear and menswear collections, eyewear, jewellery, fragrance and cosmetics. As Tom Ford has design headquarters in London, he commented: “I am thrilled to be opening a flagship store in London. Our British customers are among the most discerning and stylish in the world. Opening our first directly operated flagship in the UK is an important step in solidifying our position as a global luxury brand.”
Of course, there are many Tom Ford stores within department stores like that of Harvey Nichols, but we are sure Tom Ford fans will get much more satisfaction walking into a building that has been completely designed and foreseen by the man himself.
We are extremely excited here at The Upcoming to see the unveiling of this store and are sure the shoppers of Knightsbridge will be just as eager as us. Fall 2013 couldn’t come round quick enough.
