Please Come Back Home – Glasvegas

This melancholic tune is one for the broken-hearted this Christmas. With James Allan’s forlorn wails, the desolate lyrics create a real sense of longing – like most Glasvegas songs – but the faint sleigh bells and quaintly nostalgic video give this track a mournfully festive edge.

Charting at number 76 in the UK Singles Chart on its release, Please Come Back Home is a far cry from the lacklustre X Factor talents that creep up on us at this time of year. Whilst you’re sat munching mince pies, Glasvegas remind us of the woeful downside to the Christmas season.
