Bring the outdoors in with toiletries from the National Trust
Not the first brand you may think of to add its name to the list of beauty businesses, but think again. From the charity that protects some of the UK’s most precious places and spaces comes knowledge of the great outdoors, which has been applied to their fragrance, hand and body lotions.
Four gift box sets have been created to capture the scents of some of our favoured locations. For their Coast – Rock Samphire and Driftwood Box Set, the Holnicote Estate in Somerset was the inspiration, delivering an invigorating aroma of fresh sea air.
The rich, but light body lotion lends itself well to Woodland – Beechwood and Bramble, which is inspired by the Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire. Musky beech wood combined with sweet bramble make woodlands the main focus of the fragrance. Countryside – Cowslip and Meadowsweet are taken from the Golden Cap Estate in Dorset adding a fresh, spring-like quality with wild flower fields in mind.
A fragrance that captures a floral British bouquet is found in Garden – Wild Rose and Camomile. Taken from the gardens at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent, this romantic scent is akin to the classic setting of this Elizabethan manor. With profits going to the National Trust, you can give an iconic British scent and know that you have helped maintain those special places.
