Dress for Success with Vestiaire Collective
Fancy receiving a vintage leopard print jacket in the Christmas post this year? It was once worn by Burberry model Jasmine Guinness. Or how about a leather jacket that was custom-made for Davina McCall, along with a pair of Yves Saint Laurent heels from Trinny Woodall’s own personal collection?
This season, UK celebrities including Rachel Weisz, Sophie Dahl and the above, are offering you the opportunity to unwrap designer items from their own personal wardrobes. Partnering up with online designer vintage fashion retailer, VestiaireCollective.com, the celebrities will be auctioning off their clothing, with all proceeds going to the Dress for Success charity.
Having served more than 650,000 clients internationally since its creation in 1997, Dress for Success is a charity that helps women become financially independent by getting them back into employment. By providing necessary interview training and interview clothing, the charity aim to help women feel more confident in their ability to succeed.
As Managing Director of Vestiaire Collective UK, Shannon Edwards states, “whether you are a celebrity, a Vestiaire Collective community member or a client of Dress for Success, the confidence and self-esteem gained from smart clothing is something we are unified in understanding.” Overall, the charity helps more 1,000 women a year, and one in two gets the job.
For the opportunity to purchase one of these unique pieces whilst helping an invaluable charity, you have from the 21st December until the 31st December 2012. However, you have to be quick, as there’s only one piece per day!
