When The Thames FrozeWhen the Thames Froze – Smith and Burrows

This quaint, festive tune will have you nostalgic for Christmases long gone. Tom Smith of Editors teams up with ex-Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows, sharing a love of old-fashioned Christmas songs, to make this wonderfully solemn track.

Talking about tired London and the current economic climate, this track is surely in tune with many stressed minds at Christmas, but moves on to rasping drums and choral harmonies that will make you glow like a Christmas tree. In keeping with most of the Editors’ back catalogue, it’s a melancholic track but with the sentiments of a sweet and heart-warming Christmas message.
