Celebrities help women Dress for Success
Finding a job in today’s economic market is tough. Getting the interview and then having the right clothes is just as tough. No matter what people might say, first impressions count.
Rachel Weisz and Sophie Dahl, along with a few other A-list celebrities, have donated their personal wardrobe items to an online charity auction, which takes place until 31st December. All the money raised will go towards Dress For Success – an organisation which provides interview and employment outfits to women on low incomes in a bid to boost their confidence and chances in the workplace.
Weisz has donated a vintage velvet jacket and Dahl a pair of tailored trousers and an Alberta Ferretti wrap dress. Other fashion names to open up their wardrobes for the admirable foundation include Jasmine Guinness, Bay Garnett, Jade Parfitt, Davina McCall and stylist Trinny Woodall.
All the designer garments have gone on sale here. A different piece will be added every day.
Dress for Success London is just that right bit of confidence a woman needs. The organisation has trained stylists to help dress each woman in a well-groomed professional outfit to wear to her job interview. She also benefits from a personal interview, training with a senior recruitment adviser. A Dress for Success client has a far better chance of success due to individual support within the association, and a confidence boost within each woman.
Dressing more than 1,000 women a year in stylish clothes donated by retailers and professionals, Dress for Success London gives every one of us the chance to alter the course of a woman’s life. Please open up your hearts and clean out your wardrobes. Remember, it is something that will make the world of difference to one woman.
