The official London Plus-Size Fashion Weekend taking place in February

Be prepared for the extravaganza which is taking place on the 15^th -16^th February 2013, as one of the biggest events in fashion arrives – The London Plus-Size Fashion Weekend. This will run simultaneously with London Fashion Week. It will also have many women jumping with joy and excitement as plus-size fashion is making a wave on the mainstream runway. Now, it’s time for the curvy women to have their say.

Remi Ray is a fashion entrepreneur who decided to open the official London Plus-Size Fashion Weekend, providing women with a platform to embrace their curves and help promote the plus-size world of fashion.

This is going to be a celebration for all the women who are plus-size or curvy, as the weekend is dedicated to you!  You will get to experience a full jam-packed two days with endless amounts of fun and engagement.

Many professional creatives who design or promote for plus-size women will be involved in this fashion event. The event will help pave the way for designers both locally and internationally, who will be showcasing their work. This is essential as it’s promoting to build bridges and breaking down stereotypes in this industry. This event is already expanding with numerous inspirational speakers, retailers and consumers who have signed up to be involved.

Rebecca Hannon, contestant from Big Brother 2012, will be the official ambassador for this event. Professional models from Milk Management will be making their way down the Simply Be sponsored catwalk with international designers from around the world showcasing their collections. A Swap Shop will be taking place that will be hosted by the fabulous French blogger Gaelle Vanessa Prudencio. There will also be discussions from Velvet D’Armour – international plus size model – and Jessica Kane, who is a CEO of American plus-size magazine Skorch, just to name a few.

So feel good, embrace your body and support this event that is taking place at Beach Blanket Babylon and Shoreditch Town Hall. (The styling master classes and the plus-size pop-up shops are too good to be missed!)
