Rewriting history with BRVTVS jewellery
The name BRVTVS, pronounced “Brutus”, has historically been associated with betrayal, deceit and traitorous deeds. However, in the present it represents New York-based jewellery collection created by Caroline Ventura. Influenced by the past, and we are talking 44 BC, the updated jewellery line wants to reinvent the future with its uniquely delicate, menswear-inspired designs.
“Brvtvs mixes masculine and feminine touches to create pieces that are restrained and delicate. Each Brvtvs piece is handmade in Ventura’s NYC studio, using reclaimed materials whenever available.” Her pieces have been featured in countless fashion magazines including Vogue, Teen Vogue, Nylon, and Lucky. Clearly, Caroline Ventura is on to something good.
The simplicity of the collection is what makes it so fantastic. There are bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings featured in 14ct gold. All the pieces can make a statement worn alone, or can be mixed seamlessly with other jewellery. Here at The Upcoming, we can’t get enough of the Chain Ring Stacking Set (£78) featuring a set of three 14ct GF stacking rings to be worn separately or together on one finger, or the dainty Constantine V Bracelet (£82) which features gold triangles that move delicately along a 14ct GF chain.
There is something uniquely special about each piece of jewellery in the BRVTVS line and the pieces start from just £27.
