Dsquared launch children’s line – “It’s baby time”
Premium Italian fashion house Dsquared is launching a ready-to-wear children’s collection for spring 2014. The line will be produced under the name Brave Kids and it will be for girls and boys up to 14 years and also for babies. Brave Kids is the manufacturer owned by Renzo Rosso under his Only the Brave umbrella label that also produces the John Galliano and Diesel Junior lines.
“It’s baby time! As time passes the Dsquared family continues to flourish, our customers have grown with us – now their children are also in need of cool outfits”, read a release from designers Dean and Dan Caten.
The junior collection will be in keeping with the brand’s popular theatrical and playful aesthetic. The collection will be unveiled for the first time at the Pitti Bambo trade fair that is held in June.
The collection will include coats, jackets, trousers, dresses, tops and swimwear, so expect some very stylish children wandering around come spring 2014. A range of footwear is also being made under manufacturer Andrea Montelpare, who said: “We are delighted to announce the collaboration, and are eager to share our expertise and experience when it comes to baby/junior footwear”.
The collection is to be stocked in the Dsquared flagship stores in Milan, Paris and Tokyo and through wholesale at department stores and childrenswear independent stores. The brand has signed a contract to design the Brave Kids range for five years.
