Emma Bridgewater designs exclusive range for Red Nose Day 2013
British pottery maker Emma Bridgewater has created an exclusive new homeware range for Red Nose Day 2013. Available from Red Nose Day official partners, which offer brands-for-less on homeware, HomeSense stores and TK Maxx throughout the UK from January 31st 2013.
The collection consists of six different mug designs, two tea towel and apron designs, an oven glove and a bag for life; all designed to reflect the Red Nose Day personality and its theme “Do Something Funny For Money”. The money donated from the range will be spent by Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives across Africa and here in the UK.
The range features the distinctive Emma Bridgewater black text, synonymous with the designer since she first launched the iconic Toast and Marmalade range 20 years ago. The text features in a series of funny phrases for Red Nose Day along with a specially designed feathered “snitch” nose.
Emma Bridgewater said: “I was delighted to be asked to design a series of mugs and textiles to support Red Nose Day 2013. Matthew and I had great fun creating the range and we hope the products will carry the Comic Relief message into tens of thousands of kitchens and help change countless lives both here on your doorstep in the UK and in Africa. It’s also fantastic that Comic Relief supports a project in Stoke-On-Trent, centre of the Staffordshire potteries where all of the Comic Relief mugs have been made.”
