L’Oréal Paris S/S 13 product launch

Yesterday we attended the L’Oréal Paris SS 13 product showcase. For a 9am event, surprisingly spritely women greeted us, excited to reveal what’s going to be super hot in hair and beauty this season. 

Smiling models had sleek LFW-ready ponytails, styled with Elnett so sleek (RRP from £2.39), a new rosy scented, light product that gave a glossy finish to each look. Fantastic hairdresser at the ready, we received the same glamorous up-do, feeling the effect of this product first hand. For the more adventurous woman, there was the Feria Chic Pastels (RRP £5.91) – a toning conditioner that allowed you to rock this season’s pastel trend without completely damaging your hair. 

We have all seen the ad for the True Match range shown by Cheryl Cole, but having seen the True Match Foundation yesterday on various skin tones, it’s definitely one we’d recommend, and for under £10 you can’t go wrong. 

Manicurists were at neat tables ready to give us glittery nails using L’Oréal’s Colour Riche Top Coats which are set to be very popular this season, as they are easy to apply, fast drying and last up to seven days with no chips. Top Coat confetti is going to be big, as it lends itself perfectly to the 60s-style monochrome looks this spring/summer. 

A big part of L’Oréal’s focus this season is helping the older woman reclaim that youthful golden glow. This is where their Age Perfect range comes in. With day and night creams as well as a serum, mature women are all set for advanced restoring.

We even had a chance to play with the Sublime Bronze in the dark shade, which was a little scary as it is a spray that doesn’t have any visible colour, so you don’t know where you have sprayed and how much! This product could give frightening results. Thankfully, we saw the results on a professional and it looked amazing, but this one is definitely not the beginner’s tool. 

Thanks to L’Oréal Paris, we got to take home some of these fantastic products in a goody bag and try them ourselves.
