Pure London A/W 13: Day three
On our final day drifting amongst the thousands of beautiful products only available to wholesale, we got advice on buying for the new season, and saw insights from M&S with Gillian Ridley Whittle, Marks and Spencer’s head buyer for lingerie and beauty. We learnt how to dress the plus-size woman and even returned to the Womanswear Catwalk Show, just because we didn’t get enough of the good stuff on day one. Our highlights of today were definitely the two Young Fashion catwalk shows, both of which featured some of the most beautiful (and sparkly) pieces we’ve ever seen! Here are some of our favourite looks for each category.
Young Fashion Catwalk
Miss Patina
The Style
Forever Unique
Chi Chi
Young Fashion Half Scene Catwalk
Voodoo Vixen
Proof that there are going to be some really fun shapes, sultry shades and innovative trends next season! We hope you’re as excited as we are. Just some other designers to look out for, Lola Rose and Roccova Jewellery both caught our eye with their unique designs. Let’s face it, everybody loves a cosy pair of PJs for winter nights, and jewellery featuring natural materials framed in gold certainly hits our soft-spot in terms of statement pieces.
All in all, this enormous three-day event seems to continue to be a great success. We spoke to buyers and sellers from all over the world, learning about new trends, new techniques and new materials. We’ve met some totally fabulous new designers who we hope to be interviewing for you as soon as possible! In the mean time, don’t forget to keep an eye out for news of the Pure London August event. Tickets will be available in the next few months, so we hope to see you there!
