Beautiful handmade vintage style accessories by Love Mimo
Love Mimo was started up by Emily Holmes who has a background in fine art and textile design. She became inspired by glamour and elegance which was reminiscent of the old movies decades ago. She was also inspired by the beauty, fabric and fashion of the Geisha. This helped her to create unique accessories with a strong emphasis on pattern, shape and colour.
Love Mimo designs and creates classic and vintage-inspired hats and accessories, but with a modern contemporary twist. This is modern British craftsmanship in the making. Love Mimo is known for their hats, fabric bouquets, corsages, button holes and hair accessories.
Love Mimo accessories incorporate “upcycling” which is maybe using a sleeve from a damaged Kimono to replace on a hat. Beads from broken necklaces are used to embellish a fascinator, and sometimes cut-off fabrics are used to create flowers. This method ensures that there is no waste, and fabrics and beads are recycled for a different use time and time again.
This is a place to find something truly unique. Love Mimo specialises in unique hats, extravagant hair accessories, wedding flowers and bridal accessories. Each individual piece has been crafted and moulded, and can be worn by virtually any age.
These accessories are intricate in detail and combine an aspect of vintage, modern and the classic. You are likely to see colour, lace, beads, sequins, feathers, ribbons, crystals, satin, bows and embroidery. This combination is exactly what’s needed for the one-of-a-kind accessory.
These pieces are perfect for every woman as they meet all requirements, and you can wear the accessories to special events, weddings and occasions. Perfect for your big day – especially if you’re looking for something vintage-inspired and which lasts a long time. These wearable pieces are perfect to show off!
A bespoke service is also available if you’re interested in something new which isn’t currently on the website, or you can commission a piece to meet your requirements.
