LFW – Ones to Watch A/W 2013 show

Fashion Scout, with the sponsorship of Toni & Guy and The Body Shop, presented three fashion designers on 16^th February at London Fashion Week, during the Ones to Watch show.

YeaShin Kim was the first to parade on the catwalk. The designer melted together reference from British fashion from the 60s and traditional Korean features; her collection was an explosion of bright and extravagant matches.

Several different colours, fabrics, shapes, layers and accessories converged on the same outfit, giving the feeling of being in front of a flowering spring landscape.

The detail that definitely caught the attention was YeaShin’s hats: different in shape and colours, they outlined the outfit.

Second to model was Patrick Li with his new works. Li’s design influence was evident in his geometric, neat dresses and suits. Jackets, tops and trousers were pointed without compromising the soft and delicate woman figure, although a softer taste was not excluded, as some dresses showed a delicate drapery that recalled ancient Greek taste.

With Li, we were back to autumn colours and more classic combinations – even if they were very dark, the whole outfits were brightened with shiny, bright accessories and necklaces.

The last to model on the Fashion Scout’s catwalk was Yuila Kondranina. The Russian designer presented artistic dresses that underlined a more sinuous and curvy feminine shape; the female body was shown and exalted in an artistic way.

The first part of Kondranina’s collection plays on the strong contrast of black and white, while the second is focused on the matches of different nuances, creating a diamond effect. One outfit in particular looked diamond-shaped, and each face seemed to reflect a different colour.

In the last 14 years, Fashion Scout has championed both established and young fashion designers around Europe, giving the latter the chance to gain approval outside the UK borders. Their Ones to Watch show is a must-attend event to understand new and fresh tendencies.
