The Rum Kitchen x The Village Bicycle Valentine’s party
Last night we were invited to a Valentine’s party at Caribbean-inspired, beach shack restaurant and cocktail bar, The Rum Kitchen, hosted by local clothing store The Village Bicycle.
Situated on All Saints Road, The Rum Kitchen opened in early January this year. Decorated with grand leather chairs and vintage wooden trunks instead of tables, the Caribbean inspirations behind this bar are clear.
With a game of speed dating going on upstairs, downstairs was the place to be for rum cocktails, music by DJ Ben Bridgwater and lots of dancing. A new Valentine’s-themed cocktail menu was made especially, including “The Village Bicycle Ting” which was given to each guest as they arrived.
Paparazzi waited outside ready to snap Rita Ora who has been seen sporting Cruciani bracelets everywhere, as she is a big fan of the brand. She stepped out in an outfit from The Village Bicycle– hosts of the party and Rita’s current favourite shop. Other celebrities included Nat Weller, Zara Martin and owner of The Village Bicycle, Willa Keswick.
Despite the celebrity presence, the guests all seemed to feel right at home both at the bar and on the dance floor. The typical cool, indie crowd as expected in London – though smarter than who you’d usually see in East London.
Guests received goody bags filled with luxury products from Jurlique, Bumble and Bumble and Elemis, as well as Valentine treats from sweet store Candy Kittens. Valentines bracelets were also handed out from one of the main sponsors, Cruciani – red for the girls and black for the guys.
All female guests (and as seen on Rita Ora above) received a red heart Cruciani C bracelet for love while male guests received the black clover Cruciani C braclets for luck. It was a great night, and The Rum Kitchen is highly recommended for both a fun and relaxing night in one of London’s best locations.
