LFW – Heohwan Simulation A/W 2013 collection
Political fashion was all over the AW13 agenda at the Heohwan Simulation on Monday evening, based in the infamous Freemason’s Hall. Set up by Hwan Heo in 2010, the label was started out as a ten-year vision. Heo aims to reconstruct stories from social history and fashion each season, and uses his design process as a way of portraying a narrative of past times. His AW13 collection portrayed exactly that, as Heo used the French protests of 1968 as the inspiration for the collection.
Oversized and reconstructed coats were used throughout the collection, teamed with clashing sky blue printed blouse and trouser combinations. Funnel necks came through with navy knitwear and biker jackets worn over time, created a classy, modern twist on a historical time movement. We can’t forget to mention the circular sunglasses that were slipped subtly into the collection underneath the models loosely floating hair. We love them and cannot wait to get our own pair for those perfect sunny, wintery days.
