LFW – Paul Costelloe A/W 2013 collection
Early on Tuesday morning at the Portico Rooms in Somerset House, Paul Costelloe was welcomed back to London Fashion Week with open arms. Sunshine poured through huge open doors into the show space, revealing the beautiful scenic views of the River Thames and the London Millennium Eye.
Staying true to his British roots, Paul wanted to reinforce that his clothes are designed and made in this country, crafted specifically by British workers. Being made in Manchester shows how close home is to his heart, and that is exactly what the collection manages to represent.
Using Hitchcock heroines and a delicate colour scheme for AW13, Paul Costelloe has stuck true to his origin in making classic cuts and precision tailoring. Pattern pieces and sketchbooks were scattered around the show space adding an extra special touch to the presentation. Pretty, English girly dresses with bow details in delightful hues of pink dominated the collection, completed with traditional brown shoulder bags that we want in every single style.
