MFW – Prada A/W 2013 collection
Prada’s Milan Fashion Week show didn’t fail to impress as red-lipped, wet-haired beauties strutted down a wooden catwalk to cinematic style music, and an engaging backdrop of silhouettes and birds. This show was 50s glamour with an edge. Tire-tread high heels and gingham prints topped off variant hemlines on the skirts, sequins and waist-clinching belts. The overcoats were something to be admired. Thick oversized single-breasted trench coats with ruched turned up cuffs really stood out against the half done-up look.
Miuccia Prada has really made us pay attention and think about her individual garments and the Italian elegance to her collection. With the use of classic Prada models such as Esther de Jong, she presented a show full of clarity that truly exuded some of Prada’s greatest hits and “the best of the best of Prada”.
