MFW – Just Cavalli A/W 2013 collection
When Roberto Cavalli’s Just Cavalli collection appeared on the runway, it immediately exuded edge and the youth of the cool girl who would die to wear these designs. Cavalli found a way to do medieval style prints that differentiated itself from those at Dolce & Gabbana with its fresh urban twist. A favourite look was the tribal print style, above-the-knee tunic dress layered with an oversized Italian fresco print parka jacket complete with an oversized full white fur hood. Something we would expect Rita Ora to rock with an abnormally high boot and pair of unique shades.
Animal prints took centre stage within the tribal theme along with warm orange and gold times. These could be seen on the heavy print tight leggings and fitted flared trousers. To accompany the bold, bright bottoms were high neckline tops in various materials such as wool and silk. Each look was topped off with a killer shoe; a much-loved pair was the peep toe boot in multiple colours.
Full of exciting prints we cannot wait to get our hands on, this show was typically fun, vibrant, clear and totally loveable!
