Sex kitten made in Britain! Luxury lingerie from Ayten Gasson
Have you been looking for a luxury lingerie brand so committed to the UK fashion industry that they design and produce every piece in the UK? Then look no further because we bring you Ayten Gasson. After graduating from Central St Martins in 2004, creative director Ayten Mustafa set up the label with the help of Prince Charles’ charity, The Princes Trust, which gives financial support to young people under 30 to progress in their careers.
Ayten is dedicated to utilising British materials and keeping traditional skills like lace manufacturing alive by sourcing from the few companies still producing it in the UK. Lingerie is produced on a small scale in London, Nottingham and Wales, and vintage lace trims from the old lace mills in Nottingham are sourced to give the pieces an authentic English finish.
Ayten Gasson offers beautifully styled pieces with a unique twist such as the open-backed kimono and the skirted French knicker, alongside more classic items such as the incredibly popular silk teddy. The bridal lingerie is traditional and timeless with the most delicate and sophisticated garters we have ever seen.
As well as being an ardent supporter of UK industry, Ayten Gasson is also passionate about eco-friendly production methods, and has used both organic silk and peace silk, which is a much kinder way of producing silk where the silk worm is allowed to leave its cocoon naturally rather than being boiled inside it. This is a company with a strong moral ethos as well as producing some of the classiest lingerie of the moment. Like we needed more reasons to shop there.
