Adidas launch new eyewear range: A glimpse into the future of customised accessories
Vanilla Bar in the heart of London’s Westminster opened their doors last night for the official launch of adidas Customise eyewear; the newest addition to the adidas Originals range.
The idea of the new range is to allow creative individuals to incorporate their own personal style into adidas eyewear by creating a pair of glasses from scratch, choosing from hundreds of different frame shapes, colours and lenses.
The event truly channelled the cool, contemporary and carefree vibe of the brand with chart R ‘n’ B being played throughout the evening, relevant blue and white lighting, champagne, fish and chips on tap and even the opportunity to enjoy trying out the innovative range by having a caricature drawn whilst wearing the glasses.
The official adidas eyewear app was also launched at the event. Demonstrated by young store professionals, event guests were encouraged to see what the app had to offer, from customising their own adidas glasses to “trying them on” in the app’s virtual mirror.
The diverse feel that makes adidas so popular was also credited by the variety of people who attended the launch; from young professionals and store associates to celebrities such as Made In Chelsea’s Oliver Proudlock, who admits that he will “definitely be downloading the app” and describes the new range as being “really cool you know, it’s a great idea, it brings glasses back into fashion. I love that you can customise them yourself and get involved in the process”.
Samples of the eyewear were freely available to try on, and it’s fair to say that the range not only guarantees that you’ll stand out from the crowd and showcase your individual style, but also the product quality is first class, and with summer fast approaching adidas Customise eyewear is the perfect way to accessorise any outfit.
